OLEAN Five residents voiced support for the addition of a Civilian Review Board during the Wednesday Olean Police Reform and Reinvention Committee’s public hearing on the city’s proposed plan for police reform.
During the Zoom session, Daniel Gayton, Craig Klose, Gary Harvey, Victoria Swier and Ezra Johnson said the board would benefit both the community and the police department by providing a neutral, outside entity. They also said the addition of the board should not be seen as an attack on police officers.
