“Wadena is very good to the food shelf,” said Director Mary Ann Hagen. Residents, churches, businesses, civic groups and others continue to provide support year after year, she said.
The largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, runs Feb. 27 through April 9 this year and the Becker County Food Pantry is a part of it.
Lions Club, DQ join forces to support local Food Pantry with March 20 food drive
Make your donations count this month at the Becker County Food Pantry, by participating in a drive-through donation collection event set for Saturday, March 20 at the Becker County Fairgrounds. All donations dropped off between 12-4 p.m. will be matched by the Detroit Lakes Lions Club, and the local Dairy Queen Grill & Chill will be offering a free treat coupon to everyone who donates during the food drive as well. 11:57 am, Mar. 9, 2021 ×

There are no doubt challenging times the world over right now, but in times like this it is good to know there are people and organizations who try to make that burden more manageable.
For 40 years the largest grassroots food and fund drive in Minnesota has been the Minnesota FoodShare Campaign in March every year.
This program is one that every year steps in to enhance and fortify the generosity of donors to food shelves throughout the state as they have been doing since March 1982.
