A few years ago, Piedmont Macon's psychiatry residents started volunteering their services at Daybreak to help people needing mental health assistance.
In response to the freezing temperatures forecasted for Macon, local organizations, including the Salvation Army of Greater Macon, Brookdale Resource Center, Loaves and Fishes Ministry, and Daybreak, are joining forces to provide shelter to those in need.
The Salvation Army of Greater Macon is hosting a rummage sale to raise funds for a kids' summer camp, extending an opportunity for underprivileged children to experience an unforgettable summer adventure.
