IHOP Officially Set to Replace Very Popular Danbury Restaurant

Unfortunately, the new IHOP comes at a cost to one local restaurant, Pizzeria Mazzo Mozzarella and Wine Bar at 32 Newtown Road, which due to the pandemic s impact on the business, was forced to close it s doors.

According to newstimes.com, the restaurant opened in 2014 but was struggling during the COVID lockdowns and restrictions. The owner, Artan Ismaili claimed it was a bittersweet decision since he loved the business and the customers, but he did receive a good offer for the property from IHOP. He s now possibly looking to open up a new restaurant closer to his home in Shelton.
