Best performing managers in the best performing sectors

More than 60 leading fund managers have been nominated in FE fundinfo’s Alpha Manager Awards this year, recognising their achievements in outperforming the volatile markets of 2020.
The shortlist for each category is determined by identifying the highest scoring managers from the 2021 rebalance. A mix of quantitative and qualitative assessment is then applied to pick the most successful from this shortlist, so it provides a comprehensive overview of their performance.
Given the volatility of last year, the nominated fund managers tell an interesting story about the effectiveness of the different strategies employed over the past 12 months and the opportunities provided in each of the different markets.
