Akron-area groups receive more than $2 5M in awards from GAR Foundation

From Crain's Akron Business: The funds went to organizations in the areas of education, economic, workforce and community development, basic needs, and arts and culture. In its announcement, GAR highlighted one of the largest individual awards: a $150,000 grant to Stark State College Foundation for expansion of the school's Commercial Driver's License Training Program.
