Zelensky to take part in presidential summit in Warsaw today

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky together with the presidents of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia will take part in the celebration of the 230th anniversary of adoption of the first Constitution of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth in Warsaw today.
The presidential summit and bilateral talks between the presidents of Ukraine and Poland will be held within the framework of the visit, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The presidents will meet at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The heads of state will take part in a panel discussion on the future of Europe. During the meeting, the presidents will discuss the situation in Europe, the legacy of the past, common historical experience and current cooperation, unity of values, ââand a shared vision of Europe in the context of current events on the continent.

NausÄda: Lithuania to contribute to de-occupation of Ukrainian territories

Vilnius will never recognize Russia’s occupation of part of Ukraine’s territory and will make efforts to de-occupy these territories.
President of Lithuania Gitanas NausÄda made a corresponding statement during a festive speech at the Polish Sejm on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth’s Constitution, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The mobilization of Russian armed forces on the border with Ukraine and the military actions in eastern Ukraine carried out by Moscow-backed illegal groups testify to the pressure and incitement of military tension as a driver of political influence. Poland’s president has lauded the country’s May 3 Constitution of 1791, saying it was a great reform that aimed to bolster freedom and protect Poland’s sovereignty.
The constitution was passed on May 3, 1791, by the Great Sejm (grand parliament) of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and was Europe s first document of its kind, predating the famous French Constitution and following the American one by only four years.
