Internet Covid conspiracy theorists are leafleting high streets in an attempt to rally businesses in support of a Great Reopening to defy lockdown restrictions - as police said they would not hesitate to issue £10,000 fines to any firms flouting the rules.
Sinead Quinn, owner of Quinn Blakey Hairdressing, Oakenshaw, near Bradford, is among those vowing to welcome customers tomorrow after previously demanding officials provide proof that Covid existed.
Ms Quinn, who has racked up £17,000 in fines, has liked a social media campaign calling on firms to exercise your right to own a living that has spread on Instagram and Telegram, the encrypted messaging app known for attracting extremist content.

Senator John McGahon has called on the social media giant to close down this and similar group campaigns spreading false information and undermining public health guidelines.
Senator McGahon said: “It has been brought to my attention that a public Facebook group with over 1,300 members called ‘The Great Re-Opening’ is agitating for the spontaneous re-opening of businesses this Saturday.
BUSINESSES in North Yorkshire planning on taking part in an illegal anti-lockdown campaign dubbed ‘The Great Reopening’ have been warned they face £1,000 fines. The illegal social media movement is urging non-essential businesses to defy lockdown rules by reopening their doors this Saturday in a nationwide act of civil disobedience. It’s unclear who is behind the movement and if any businesses will take part, but police and health officials have warned they will take “ultimate action” against those who do. Richard Webb, corporate director of health and adult services at North Yorkshire County Council, said he hopes local businesses will ignore the campaign.
