A few weeks ago, a dentist asked four-year-old Clancy Caldwell what his favourite food was. While many kids would have named ice-cream or chips, Clancy said, âI do like capsicumâ, adding that he liked to sprinkle basil and chives on his poached egg at breakfast.
Clancyâs mother, Kelly, was proud, but not surprised. Clancy grows capsicum and herbs at home and also at a super-sized vegetable garden run by a group of local families near Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula.
