The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy (EGLE) recently proposed a rule that would have imposed restrictions on county road commissions, limiting them from spraying mineral well brine on gravel roads beginning on April 1 in an attempt to keep chloride out of water. However, that proposal is now on hold after pushback from multiple Road Commission officials and others.
