A legislative session characterized in part by a historic budget surplus ended, predictably, in a flurry of competing visions on how to spend $3 billion.
Republicans came into the session holding an historic 102 seats across both chambers, in addition to controlling the governor’s office for the second session in a row.
"He s fair, he listens to people, he works hard. He s the type of person who should be a judge," Senate Majority Leader Steve Fitzpatrick said Wednesday.
