A 53-year-old southeastern Wisconsin man was killed Friday night in a snowmobile crash in Bayfield County.
The Bayfield County Sheriff s office says they received a call around 8:15 Friday night reporting a snowmobile vs. UTV accident on Lake Namakagon.
The sheriff s office says a preliminary investigation indicates the 53-year-old Delafield, Wisconsin man was driving his snowmobile southbound on Lake Namakagon when he struck a UTV that was traveling northbound.
The driver of the snowmobile was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the UTV, a 47-year-old Iowa man, sustained minor injuries.
A passenger of the UTV was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In August, it took over control of Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls.
To support the care in the region, Marshfield Clinic is now offering its own ambulance service.
This won’t be the type that responds to emergency calls. It will be used to transfer patients.
“We can immediately take patients to the airport or helipad at Howard Young. So that was one priority. The second was that we would have our ambulance take patients to higher levels of care by ground down to Wausau, Weston or Marshfield,” said Michael Schaars. Schaars is the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Marshfield Clinic in both Minocqua and Park Falls.
