Warren Township High School running back Maurice Edwards has been named the Chicago Bears High School All-Star for the final week of the spring football season.
The Bears will direct a $500 donation to the youth football program of Edwards choice.
The junior running back helped lead Warren to a 55-14 win against Libertyville. He tallied five touchdowns and rushed for approximately 300 yards in the game; three of his touchdowns were for more than 50 yards each.

GRAYSLAKE, IL Grayslake Central and Grayslake North high schools have been named among the best high schools in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country.
Among those schools, Grayslake Central was ranked 1,436 in the U.S. and 61st in Illinois. Meanwhile, Grayslake North was ranked 1,874 in the U.S. and 80th in Illinois.
