Top-Seeded Seminoles Begin NCAA Championship Play

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The No. 1 seeded Florida State Men’s Golf team makes its 26th trip to the NCAA Championship Finals as it seeks the program’s first national title on May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. On Friday-Sunday, each team will participate in the stroke-play portion of the championship to determine the Top 15 teams remaining. On Monday, May 31, the final day of stroke play occurs to limit the field from 15 to the Top eight teams for match play. Bridgeman Among Final 11 for Haskins Award

Clemson, SC Clemson junior Jacob Bridgeman is one of 11 players remaining on the Watch List for the 2021 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel.  The award recognizes the most outstanding NCAA male Division I player in college golf.   The award is voted on by college players, coaches and college golf media from around the nation.In addition to Bridgeman, the final watch list is made up of Ludvig Aberg of Texas Tech, Eugenio Chacarra of Oklahoma State,  Pierceson Coody of Texas, Alex Fitzpatrick of Wake Forest,  Nick Gabrelcik of North Florida,  Noah Goodwin of SMU, Ryan Hall of South Carolina, John Pak of Florida State, David Puig of Arizona State, and Davis Thompson of Georgia. Bridgeman leads the nation in scoring average at 69.46, a figure that would be a Clemson single-season record.  He is ranked eighth in the nation by Golfweek and 16th by Golfstat in the latest individual college rankings. Beavers Ready For NCAA National Championship

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's golf team is set to compete at the NCAA National Championship, which is scheduled for Friday through Wednesday at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.   Finals play consists of three days of stroke play Friday through Sunday (54 holes), after which the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. That is followed by a final day of 18 holes of stroke play on Monday to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion.  

Seminoles Win First NCAA Regional in Dominant Fashion

FINAL RESULTS TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The top-ranked Florida State men's golf team capped off a spectacular week of play with a combined score of 34-under (271-281-278) to win their first NCAA Regional in program history at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club on Wednesday.
