Then-No. 9 Notre Dame used a 9-2 second-quarter run to flip a deficit into a blowout loss for the then-No. 4 Orange on Saturday. The two since flipped spots in the latest Inside Lacrosse rankings, and now No. 9 Syracuse will take on the unranked UAlbany on Thursday.
Syracuse will look to avoid its first three-game losing streak since 2016. The matchup will mark Syracuse’s last before it plays three consecutive ACC opponents to close out the season against North Carolina, Virginia and Notre Dame. When you think of two straight for ninth-ranked Syracuse men’s lacrosse, you normally think of it as two straight wins. The Orange are rolling with no setbacks or bad losses whatsoever. It should be a no brainer, right?
After Saturday’s 18-11 loss to now fifth-ranked Notre Dame, SU has lost two in a row. The last time that happened in the regular season was back in 2018. You can say the loss to top-ranked Duke was a good loss, but you would be insane to think the loss to the Irish was too.

The UAlbany men’s lacrosse team dismantled UMass Lowell 17-6 at Fallon Field on Saturday, as Graydon Hogg scored six goals, goalie Liam Donnelly and freshman faceoff specialist Regan Endres were brilliant and 10 different players had at least one goal.

For the second week in a row, the UAlbany men’s lacrosse team got off to a slow start.
One twist not in the Great Danes’ favor this time was that Jakob Patterson wasn’t in uniform.
And they were playing Vermont, a team against which you’re going to need every resource at your disposal.
The Catamounts took a 10-4 lead at halftime, and a UAlbany comeback fell short, as the Great Danes fell to 2-1 with a 14-12 loss to their America East rival.
One good slow start deserves another. The UAlbany men's lacrosse team was hampered by the absence of 11 players last week because of COVID-19 protocols…
