A woman was riding southbound on valley avenue when she was hit by a driver going eastbound on stanley boulevard. It was just after 7 00 this morning when this collision happened. The intersection was closed for hours. The cyclist died at the scene. She has not been identified. The driver is cooperating with police. A pedestrian is expected to be okay after getting hit by a bus in San Francisco this morning. It happened at market and ninth street in the middle of the morning commute. This is a very busy area. Algae is sin full bloom. Environmental officials are advising everyone to avoid getting in the water there. Exposure could cause anything from skin irritation to much more serious gastrointestinal problems. A lake had to be closed in june for the same toxic algae bloom. It remains closed to the public. Happening now in San Francisco, a man who fell 10 to 15 feet onboard a navy ship is safe and on his way to the hospital. The Fire Department poised this video on twitter showing that rescue. Crews used a rope system to raise him up and pull him out. Firefighters took him off the ship and to a waiting ambulance.
