fundraising perspective. democrats have built up a formidable, small dollar, grassroots fundraising base the last few cycles. this is something their candidates up and down the ballots rely on to keep ace with republicans fundraising game. this is a tool for them to juice that fundraising operation and really milk these dedicated, small dollar donors for, you know, significantly more money than they may be giving otherwise. we know midterms are rapidly approaching. the environment looking good for republicans at the moment because of the inflation primarily. democrats say, look, there s time for that change, and believe there could be some things that could alter the situation around the midterms and potentially these hearings might be among them. what s your sense of it? democrats, republicans alike that you ve talked to, can these hearings play a factor come november? well, there s certainly some races in which i think they re going to be a factor.
