It happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. Thursday near the Grassmere Park intersection.
Police say a car traveling north on Lake Avenue crossed the center line and struck a van head-on.
The driver of the car was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the van was not hurt.
The deceased driver s name has not been released and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
