[ cheering ] in ohio, voters have decided to make abortion a right under the state constitution. a solid majority voted yes. this is a state controlled, by the way, by republicans . in virginia, cnn predicts democrats will take control of the legislature. it s a setback for glenn youngkin, pushing to restrict abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. and governor andy beshear, a democrat, has won reelection. and by the way, he won as a democrat in a state that donald trump won by 26 points in 2020. a deeper dive on all of the numbers, what do we see? let s start with the top line. what we were watching last night, and compare it to 2020. three years have passed and we re only a year away from the next seleelection. this is important i
who knows what it means for november. it certainly is a shock. nobody thought he would win. nobody thought he would get the nomination. now he has had a lot of money come in over the last couple of weeks. even gabrielle union endorsing him on twitter the other day. he has a lot of charisma. he has a lot of grass roots momentum. this is an interesting time for the democratic party. he beat two high dollar, high organization candidates and he did it the old fashioned way. he is not running carl azas conservative like. he is not that at all. he is running as a pure progressive as mayor of tallahassee he took on the whole state. he sued the governor and got in a legal battle about guns. he has created a following for himself. now he is one man to watch.
were good signs. handful of your colleagues in the senate, from bernie sanders, corey booker, kirsten gillibrand and handful of others calling on the president to resign over the sexual misconduct allegations against him that have come forward over the last couple of years. where are you on this? so, chuck, i believe the president is unfit for office, and i would love to see the president resign, but, again, i think the best way to address the harm that trump agenda is doing to the country and all the broken promises is in 2018. that has to be our focus. that is our focus, obviously, at the dscc, good senator virginia and alabama, and i think you re seeing as you indicated a lot of grass roots momentum. not just democrats but from independents around a lot of moderate republicans. senator van hollen, leave it
