Two-year-old Tametomo has only raced twice but has quickly become the foe of favourite backers.
The Savabeel colt only beat one runner home as $2.50 favourite on debut at Bendigo in December but rebounded with a Cranbourne jumpout win on March 29 and then won his two-year-old maiden over 1205 metres at Sale on Wednesday as a $20 chance.
Tametomo s three-quarter-length victory was made even more unfavourable as the first three in betting, El Rocko ($3.10 favourite), Prince Amongst Men ($3.60) and Tonquani ($5.50) were all strongly supported in betting from their opening quote.
Prince Amongst Men drove forward from the widest barrier in the 10-horse field to lead clearly at halfway but wilted over the concluding stages for third, with Grappa Di Moscato ($15) finishing runner-up.
