THE CREATIVE LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAM of Granville County Senior Services is re-introducing programs for spring, and is gradually moving to in-person class offerings at the Granville County Senior Center in Oxford. Upcoming classes include âEat Smart, Move Moreâ (Wednesdays through May 26). Community awareness programs such as a âLook Backâ at Granville County History (June 7, with local author Lewis Bowling) are also offered, as well as weekly interest groups such as âNorth Carolina, Our Homeâ (monthly) and âGames, Anyoneâ (Wednesdays). BUDGET MEETINGS, The Granville County Commissioners will meet at the Granville Expo & Convention Center, 4185 U.S. 15, Oxford, on Monday, May 10, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 11, at 9 a.m. (if necessary) for budget workshops on the proposed fiscal year 2021-22 budget.

NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK, Pelican Health of Henderson will celebrate National Nursing Home Week with a week of activities for our residents as follows: Sunday, May 9, Happy Motherâs Day and visits with mom; Monday, May 10, Balloon Lift-off and drive-thru parade at 11 a.m., bingo at 2 p.m.; Tuesday, May 11, Twin Day Tuesday and Sip & Paint Happy Hour; Wednesday, May 12, Facility Cookout; Thursday May 13, Thankful Thursday (greeting cards craft), create your own dessert; Friday, May 14, karaoke, and Movie & Popcorn at Pelican.
