Creedmoor, N.C. The South Granville Vikings came into their rivalry showdown needing a win over the Granville Central Panthers to keep their playoff hopes alive, and they got that and then some with a 71-26 victory at home.
Entering play, HighSchoolOT s spring football playoff projections had the Vikings placed as one of the first teams out of the 2A state playoffs.
Given their precarious position, a win over their rival was imperative to stay in the race, and the home team s ground attack delivered.
