A 35-year-old Kalava man is in jail after allegedly assaulting someone he was dating over several hours.
Mason County deputies were called to a home in Grant Township Saturday afternoon after a neighbor called police.
The neighbor says children from a home nearby came over and told them the couple was fighting.
Deputies found the suspect hiding in the bathroom when they arrived.
He’s charged with domestic violence and attempted criminal sexual conduct, and he’s currently being held in the Mason County Jail.
