Candidates expressed appreciation for voters, regardless of how their voting following the final counting of ballots in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Voters are headed to the polls today to decide a host of local, state and federal races as well as a West Bonner County supplemental levy election.
Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. countywide.
During Monday’s candidate forum, hosted by local media and the Selkirk Association of Realtors, Engelhardt who became the assessor roughly 10 months ago when the county’s previous assessor, Grant Dorman, stepped down for medical reasons thanked the community for trusting him with the position and said he hopes to continue his work in the county for some time to come.
