Smaller waters in New Hampshire with 5” to 6” of ice are seeing good warm water species activity, while in Maine, ice access is providing solid options for bass, panfish and salmonoids.
Ponds, smaller lakes, and bays on larger water bodies have locked up and anglers are pulling good numbers of hungry trout, pickerel, bass and panfish through the ice.
With smaller ponds well frozen over with fishable ice, coves in decidedly larger lakes are staring to set up and anglers are reporting good outings with hungry panfish and bass popping flags.
While the majority of the striper stock has already pushed off for their southern migration, good bass are still being found in the dark and they aren't picky about offerings.
