This is National Salvation Army Week
This is National Salvation Army Week, a time to recognize and celebrate the many ways the Salvation Army helps the Yakima Valley. Some activities are planned this week.
For more than 125 years the Salvation Army has been active in the Yakima Valley. According to Lisa Sargent the Community Relations & Outreach Program Manager says many people don t realize they are first a church. Sunday services are 9:30am English language and 11am in Spanish.
Sargent says they help thousands of people each year at the church and through the Family Service office. A press release says the Family service office is open Monday at 9 South 6th Avenue.
