Grand Rapids radio personality who died of COVID-19 remembered as loving husband and father

Octavio Reyes, 44, radio personality for the local Grand Rapids station La Poderosa Radio
died Monday, Dec. 28, of COVID-19, according to his online obituary.
Reyes, a DJ for La Poderosa WMJH 93.3 FM, a Grand Rapids’ Hispanic station, was a devoted husband, caring father, loving son and brother, his obituary reads.
Reyes’ brother-in-law, Julio Cesar Nuñez, said in an interview with MLive that he knew Reyes for a long time as his sister and Reyes were married for about 20 years.
