bill barr and jerry nadler worked out some sort of deal to compromise. do you have any information on that? do you think it was a wise move? i think it was a wise move on both of their parts to step back from the brink. apparently the information they have authoress to give over, it is not grand jury information at all. it is the agent s interview reports with witnesses. those are not considered to be grand jury information. furthermore, apparently some rough notes are being turned over. again, the mueller report already quoted from. so there is no national security, and there is no grand jury material being turned over. i think it s a wise choice. sandra: still, an authorization for civil contempt is going through. it s going to happen, why?
and prosecutors working for mueller. so the reason the judiciary committee is asking straight away to see all the 302s is that none of that stuff is grand jury material. all of that stuff was based on voluntary testimony to the fbi and to mueller s prosecutors. that s why they re asking right away for the 302s. that s not grand jury material. but tvl same witnesses who did 302s who came in and did voluntary interviews and a bunch of other witnesses also gave sworn testimony to the grand jury in addition to any voluntary conversations they might have had with the fbi. and that grand jury testimony at this point is still not being made available to the committee, and it can t be made available unless a judge allows it to, unless a judge orders that that grand jury-related information can be shown to congress. well, this is interesting. one of the things the house is reportedly going to vote on tomorrow is giving judiciary committee chairman jerry nadler the ability to go straight to a ju
including grand jury information, nor does it expand to to don mcgahn testify before this committee. now, this happened at a hearing with john dean, the former nixon white house counsel as part of the democrats investigation in hearings to try to shine a spotlight over the findings of the mueller probe. of course, john dean has no firsthand knowledge about what happened with the mureller prob, but jerry nadler saying it s true that fact witness have said ordered by the white house to not appear before this committee, but warning, we will get them, saying he s ready to go to court to get don mcgahn and others to comply with their subpoenas. manu, thanks very much. manu raju up on capitol hill. a key figure in that watergate scandal, whose testimony helped bring down former president richard nixon appeared before congress today as manu was just noting, saying there are parallels to be found in the mueller report. let s go to our senior white

i don t see why it wouldn t have been investigated. some of the things i have seen with regard to privilege making it difficult don t really seem to answer the question. there would have been no privilege in the conversation between the attorney for president trump and the attorney for flynn. so it s somewhat of a mystery to me. interesting. greg, what shan is getting to, let me read what we know of the voice mail that went from, between trump s personal attorney and flynn s attorney, and this is what we have not seen before. this is what we have got. this is a voice mail. it wouldn t surprise me if you have gone on to make a deal with the government. if there s information that implicated the president, we have a national security issue, so you know, we need some kind of heads up. greg, is that a call that you have ever made? the fact that they had this, and additional fact that this voice mail seemed to happen just as they had severed the cooperation agreement between the time-out
