Restaurant and food service businesses preparing to offer outdoor dining on Friday need to make sure their COVID response plans are in order, says the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.
Dr. Wajid Ahmed, the regionâs Medical Officer of Health, pointed out that regulations require such businesses be able to show their plan âtakes into consideration all the COVID-related measures.â

The Grand Cantina, Taloola Café, and Slices Pizza, Funky Chow Kitchen is bringing classic favourites with a tasty twist for the Windsor area to enjoy.

“This space became available and we sort of jumped at it since we’re next door in Slices
,” Rosemary Woods, a partner of the hospitality group, explains. “We thought: what can we do with this space? All of us working here love Asian food so much… So we were kind of just like ‘let’s do it! ”

In a year that has been anything but normal, Taloola Café co-owner Rosemary Woods felt a slight twinge of just that when she popped into the café Tuesday morning and found some regulars in their usual spots.
“It was a strange feeling,” admitted Woods, who also co-owns The Grand Cantina and Slices with business partner John Alvarez.
