With significantly reduced capacity and social distancing measures in place. Chessington world of adventures in surrey was one of them. 0ur correspondent Katie Prescott was there. A lot of things have changed about chessington now. There are social distancing markings on the floor, hand sanitiser stations everywhere, and the staff are wearing face masks. But some things, like the queues, really have not. If you want to go on one of these iconic rides, you will still have to wait about 60 90 minutes to do so, and thats because they have reduced the number of people allowed on and they have to be cleaned at regular intervals. But in spite of all of this, in the main, people we spoke to here are just delighted to be out and about. It is actually my 40th birthday. Happy birthday thank you what has the experience been like . So far, weve have had a really good time. It is a bit strange. Some bits are closed. It is a bit surreal being out and about, but, no, weve had a good time so far. Actu

Who were at three pubs in different parts of england over the weekend have been contacted by staff after a number of people tested postive for coronavirus. The pubs in west yorkshire, hampshire and somerset had onlyjust re opened on saturday as lockdown restrictions in england were lifted. Theyve now had to close again, as our correspondentjon kay reports. So much for the grand reopening. A customer that was drinking here on saturday said he has since tested positive for covid. It is the last thing jess the landlady needed after being closed for three months but she told me she acted swiftly to protect staff and customers. We didnt actually have to shut stop because we had followed all the rules, we could have stayed open, but for the safety of the staff and the customers, we chose ourselves to close and its like, we now, all my staff have had negative results and we still wont be opening today because we want to make sure we have got things right before we even open the doors. But theyre moving through quickly because of the strength of the wind today. Look at those gusts of wind further south as well. But up to 50 60 mph potentially across the transpennines and north wales. Further north, pretty blustery as well as ive mentioned, 50 60 mph here, so it is tempering the feel of the day. Temperatures a little bit below average for the time of year. The wind direction switches more to a north westerly overnight, so its still carrying in lots of showers. Still some of those will be heavy, but what will be noticeable tonight is the loss of the humidity, so itll be more comfortable for sleeping. So a fresher start to our monday. The low pressure by that stage is pulling away into scandinavia some very wet and windy weather to come here. And High Pressure is starting to build in from the atlantic, so that will tend to dampen down the shower activity. But itll be a windier day for the northern isles. Therell still be some heavy showers with hail and thunder in north
