After nabbing a suspect who has been accused of local mail theft and fraud, Penticton RCMP are hoping to at least get one piece back in the hands of the rightful owner.

A search warrant was executed on Mark Anthony Stewart’s home by the Penticton RCMP’s Street Enforcement Unit, prompted by the week-long police effort. Inside, police found several pieces of mail and forged documentation. Police also found a birthday card sent by ‘Gramma Patti’ to her grandson ‘Henry, ‘ which was likely stolen in transit in the mail. Stewart has been charged with possessing forged documents, possessing identity documents, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
