freedom caucus almost immediately come out and lend their support to this tax plan. so i do think it s interesting that we ve kind of seen a shift from all of this concern about adding to the deficit to now okay, let s figure out how we can make sure that the tax cuts are offset by something. they haven t quite figured that out yet. i know they re looking at eliminating several loopholes but there s still that question is that going to raise enough revenue to offset the tax cuts. right now it doesn t look like that would be the case. the argument is certainly the economy needs this. the reality is the republicans desperately need this because health care fell apart. although it you listen to a president in an interview he continues to say that gram cassidy bill has the votes. here s what he said. but we have the votes but don t have the time, because it s friday. literally friday it ends at a certain time. so we ll bring it into to a few

sleight of hand here. states are not going to be able to do the same thing as they could have with federal money? i think that s absolutely right. every state at the end of the day under graham/cassidy loses money. some lose it right away. some of the states that have actually enrolled more people which is two-thirds of the states in the country, have added, expanded medicaid populations as the law allowed them to do. they would immediately lose money. but under the bloc grant program, and the cap on medicaid, everybody loses money over tile. i thi time. what you ve seen on capitol hill today, disabled americans in the underlying medicaid population. these are not the expanded medicaid. these are the 10 million children and disabled adults cared for because of medicaid in every state of country. as a former governor when those dollars are cut, there s no way states can make up that
