Investigators conducted operation trojan horse at an osceola motel tuesday over a 14hour period. Weve learned four of those people arrested for prostitution are from des moines and West Des Moines. Police chief Martin Duffus says this started when officers spotted local ads for sex acts craigslist and backpage. Com. Draft proposal that would ban alcohol year round on all state beaches. The proposed ban would apply to the sand or fenced in areas of the beach, the swimming area, and a 200 foot land buffer surrounding those areas. The ban is being considered because incidents have revealed patterns of excessive consumption of alchol at several state beaches which threatens the safety of the general public.
