Veteran Harry Bailey – Master of the collection bucket dies aged 99

WWII veteran Harry Bailey, 99, from Lewisham, was a huge part of the Taxi Charity family. He was equally loved by the veterans the charity supports, and the London cabbies who volunteer their time to take the veterans on trips across Europe and the UK. Harry was a regular on all the trips, and he will be greatly missed by all. During the Second World War, Harry was in The Royal Army Service Corps and worked on the Mulberry Harbour as part of the D Day Landings. He was presented with the Legion d’honneur in 2016 while in Normandy with the Taxi Charity.
