UPDATED 8:27 p.m. A Graham Police Department officer is in stable condition following an officer-involved shooting which resulted in the death of a suspect. GPD received a call around 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5 regarding a suspicious man with a knife on the road near the intersection of Hillcrest and Morado Streets, according to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
A one-vehicle rollover vehicle wreck, which occurred Monday in the 400 block of Texas Street, resulted in minor injuries. Graham Police Department, Graham Fire Rescue and Graham EMS were dispatched to the 400 block of Texas Street in Graham for a vehicle crash at approximately 8:07 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders observed a 2014 Black Kia Soul overturned and resting on a fence. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jacoby Bachman, 31, of Graham, who sustained minor injuries in the wreck and refused medical treatment.
Members of Young County and Graham met with the Olney Volunteer Fire Department this week to discuss options for county structure protection while Engine 3, used by Graham Fire Rescue in the county, is down. Young County Sheriff Travis Babcock, Young County Judge Win Graham, Graham Fire Rescue Chief Jim Don Laurent and GFR Assistant Chief David Aleshire met Tuesday, Aug. 1 with OVFD. Laurent said that the truck used by GFR for county structure protection went down and the city is currently attempting to get that truck repaired.
