The mural, which is painted on a wall at Erskineville train station, in Sydneyâs inner west, was found to have been defaced on Wednesday morning. Security guards have been hired to protect the mural of fire chief Shane Fitzsimmons after it was defaced by thugs. The artwork at Erskineville Railway Station in the south west of Sydney was vandalised on Tuesday, just a day after it was unveiled. The mural was created to honour Mr Fitzsimmons and raise awareness about Graffiti Removal Day- a time where locals come together to remove vandalism.
