On Thursday the Roxburgh Trotting Club will celebrate 75 years of harness racing. Formed in 1932 the Club held its first race meeting in 1933. Fire investigator Graeme McIntyre said the blaze appeared to have been caused by an electrical fault. But, due to the high number of appliances at the fire s point of origin, it was difficult to determine which had sparked the flames. He said the fire had destroyed many mini tractors used at the nursery. Nothing inside the building was salvageable.

A large fire at Leafland Wholesale Tree Nursery on Roberts Line has been referred to an investigator to determine the cause of the blaze. A woman, who did not want to be named, whose home neighbours the property said her family was woken up by loud bangs as the blaze took hold of the building.
