The Meadowlands played host to four major stakes races Saturday (June 24) with three divisions of the Graduate Series for four-year-old harness racing pacers and trotters and a leg of the Miss Versatility Series for older trotting mares. It was a night for speed as all four stakes races saw lifetime marks taken or tied.
Last year, Longshot became the fastest three-year-old gelding trotter ever at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows with a 1:52.2 mile. On Friday, he was up to his old tricks, sailing to victory in his return to the five-eighths-mile Pennsylvania oval.
