Campaigners have called on Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to block a 26-storey tower development on the site of Ealing Council’s headquarters after it was approved for a second time
In a letter to the mayor and his deputy, Jules Pipe, campaigners argue the ‘overbearing’ scheme by Patel Taylor and Trehearne Architects conflicts with a number of key policies in the London Plan.

It follows a decision on 31 March by Ealing Council to again give the go-ahead for plans to demolish Perceval House, its six-storey redbrick headquarters in Uxbridge. The council turned down the plan because the houses are outside the village’s settlement boundary. It also said they would damage the rural nature of the area, particularly the setting of the Grade II-listed Christ Church.
