SANFORD, Fla. - Some assisted living facilities had expected their residents to be vaccinated for COVID-19 by now, but many are still waiting for the vaccines. The state is now working to try to make the process go faster.
For several weeks, FOX 35 News has been looking for answers as to why Gracious Age Assisted Living Facility was not on the schedule to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but the owner found out Thursday that their residents will be getting the vaccine on January 24 and 28.

FOX 35 News is investigating why some residents at assisted living facilities are still waiting for the coronavirus vaccine.
Sanford, Fla. - Many assisted living facilities in Florida are waiting for the COVID-19 vaccine, even though they were promised to be a top priority.
Gracious Age Assisted Living Facility is waiting for the COVID-19 vaccine to be distributed to its residents. The longer we have to wait, we could be in danger, said Gracious Age resident Charlie Reyes. They have the vaccine ready, they have everything in place. I don’t understand why we haven’t gotten it yet.
