What Are We Feeding Our Kids?, which airs tomorrow, sees doctor Chris van Tulleken consume only ultra-processed foods (UPFs) - such as chicken nuggets, pizza and ready meals - for four weeks, to see what impact it has on the body. Not only did he gain weight, father-of-two Chris, 48, became sluggish, anxious and an MRI scan showed that his brain began to constantly crave junk food in the same way as a person addicted to cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs would.
