Tiny Dog Breaks Free from Owner, Easily Wins High School Race
A tiny, but lightning fast dog dashed from the stands onto the track at a high school meet in Logan, Utah, zooming past the human runners on the track, as the crowd cheered the canine on to victory.
The little pooch broke loose from her owner and ran down a grass covered incline onto the track as the high school runners were in the last leg of the women s 4x200 meter relay. The four-legged-flyer quickly overtook all the runners. Holly the goldendoodle unleashed a lightning-fast sprint to overtake senior Gracie Laney, who was leading the pack at the Grizzly Invitational. Laney said she was afraid of hurting herself and stepping on the dog with her spikes. But she managed to anchor her team to a win ― at least among the humans.
