The Oregon Ducks have made a push in the state of Texas in the class of 2022, and another piece of evidence of that effort was on display Thursday.
247Sports four-star defensive end Ernest Cooper announced a top five of Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford and Texas A&M:

In my last story, I discussed what has happened so far in Oregon’s recent effort to resurrect the Texas recruiting pipeline. Now, I want to narrow the focus from the abstract promise of a Texas pipeline to specific names that Oregon is targeting for the 2022 cycle.
Here is a list of uncommitted Texas prospects that the Ducks have offered and are actively recruiting, as well as a short update on where Oregon stands with each.
Note: All rankings come from the 247Sports Composite national rankings.
Oregon’s Primary Targets
No. 31: 5-star OT
Kelvin Banks Jr. (Humble, TX): Banks is among the biggest names on the board for Oregon in this cycle. His commitment alone would likely lead most fans to declare the program’s venture into Texas a success.
Zion Branch just locked in his Oregon official visit Wednesday morning.
Wide receiver is a position of need in 2022, and the Ducks already have Texas wideout

Kevin Green Jr.from Bishop Alemany High School (Mission Hills, Calif.) trimmed his list of suitors this week, placing Oregon in his top group. The Ducks made the cut along with Cal, Stanford, USC, Utah, San Diego State, Washington State and Nebraska.
He announced his new group on Twitter.
Green is a 3-star (0.8778 on 247 Sports Composite) prospect and is ranked the No. 63 wide receiver in the country and the No. 35 prospect in California. The 5 11 , 165-pound wideout has one official visit scheduled to USC in June.

The Oregon Ducks football program is off to a hot start to the 2022 recruiting cycle, securing six pledges, including a Pac-12 Conference-leading five bluechip recruits.
Mario Cristobal’s latest addition came Monday with the commitment of 247Sports four-star quarterback Tanner Bailey, the nation’s No. 9 pro-style passer.
But that wasn’t the only bit of good news on the day for the Ducks.
247Sports four-star cornerback Jaden Mickey trimmed his list to a final four of California, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Oregon:
Beyond blessed to be in this position!
