Most golfers go their whole lives without ever knowing the feeling of a hole-in-one.
That’s probably why it had never been done before by any high school girls golfer during a state championship round until today.

Pearl River Central’s Grace Lanier drains a hole-in-one on the hole 5 par 3.
She was presented with her scorecard to keep forever, a 12 pack of ‘Live Like Molly’ golf balls courtesy of Gulfport High School, and a hole-in-one bag courtesy of the Oaks Golf Club. Lanier said, “It felt really good to make a hole-in-one because I’ve never done it before. I made sure I chipped it up so it would land right there. I actually wasn’t aiming for a hole-in-one. But when I saw it go in, I was really excited that I got one. We will go eat dinner and have a lot of fun.”
