Those who come to donate at the Red Cross through the holidays will receive a long-sleeved Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last. As COVID-19 hospitalizations increase, hospital demand for convalescent plasma has also grown. COVID-19 convalescent plasma is a type of blood donation given by those who have recovered from this coronavirus. Their plasma contains antibodies that may help patients actively fighting the virus. Position in Schoolcraft Board of Trustees opens after member resigns

Schoolcraft College has an opening on its Board of Trustees and invites individuals interested in filling that vacancy to contact Beth LaForest, director of strategic operations and board liaison, by email at blafores@schoolcraft.edu with any questions or to receive an application packet.
The deadline to submit an application is 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.
The seven-member Board of Trustees serves as the college’s policy-making body. To be considered a candidate for the position, an applicant must be a registered voter and a resident of the Schoolcraft College district, which includes the Clarenceville, Garden City, Livonia, Northville and Plymouth-Canton school districts as well as part of the Novi school district.
Corey said, though it s a lot of work, she wanted to set the village up this year in memory of her parents because her father died in March; her mother has been gone 14 years.
She s received many of her buildings as gifts over the years and has bought buildings she particularly likes over the years, but the two that remind her of her parents are the most special.
Her favorite is that law office her mother gave her all those years ago. It started her on a holiday tradition she s had for years and remains a reminder of her mother.
