There is only one national holiday in the month of January 2021,that is Republic Day on January 26, which is a Tuesday. Banks across the country will also remain shut on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.
There are state-specific holidays where banks will be closed in those particular states. For instance, banks in Mizoram, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Manipur, Meghalaya will be closed for New Year s on January 1. Banks in Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Telengana and Andhra Pradesh will be closed on January 14 (Thursday) for Uttarayaana Punyakaala Makar Sankranti Festival/Pongal/Maghe Sankranti. Banks in Tamil Nadu will also be closed on January 15 (Friday) for Thiruvalluvar Day. In Odisha, banks will be closed on January 20 (Wednesday) for Guru Govind Singh Ji

The Reserve Bank of India has released the list Bank Holidays list for the year 2021. All public and private sector banks in India remain closed on Sundays as well as the second and fourth Saturday.
On the occasion of New Year, the bank will remain closed in Chennai, Aizawl, Gangtok, Imphal and Shillong. Apart from these places, banks will remain functional across all other major cities on 1 January 2021.
