Individual civil liberties can only exist within free-market capitalism. Because capitalism provides people with the ability to individually express their inner goals and desires, people are free to pursue their individualism and unique goals in the domain of capitalism. On the other hand, economic and individual freedom dies in communism as does your soul. Remember, communists believe that religion of any type is the opiate of the masses. Only the state can be worshipped. Americans have so taken their freedom for granted, that they have lost their freedom and most still do not realize what has happened to their country. And very disturbingly, many Americans do not have the cognitive capacity to understand what has happened to their once free Republic. THE DOCTOR IS IN For months now, I ve inquired and urged my grocery store clerks and managers to push for their vaccinations.
Arguably, they deserved vaccination as essential workers as much as medical professionals. Now that they can get it (hooray!), I m learning that many
don t want it (or are just hesitant) as do many of my nurses in my workplaces.
As I stated in my last CityWatch article, I am NOT a big fan of the masks and social distancing as a shared patriotic, wonderful thing to be virtue-signaling about.
This has been about survival, and as a physician I m still damned pissed off at how this virus was thrown upon us.and without a good explanation of the origin of something that DESERVES an explanation as much as it deserves a cure, as Politico notes.
THE DOCTOR IS IN Sometimes I wonder if this nation really does want to get on with our lives and past this pandemic.or at least whether its political leadership wishes to resolve and move on from this dreadful interruption in all of our lives.
And because the worst of COVID-19 is likely not going away until 2022, and like the flu may last indefinitely.
While it certainly is human nature to exploit a disaster, there are limits to what American citizens will tolerate with respect to not doing the right thing, and make Goal A mismatch Problem B.
Furthermore, choosing the wrong approach can destroy one s political career. This pandemic, kept under wraps and without addressing it based on scientific principles, arguably ended President Trump s re-election chances.and the once-popular Governors Newsom and Cuomo might just be walking in Trump s footsteps.
“First and foremost is the fact that the lockdowns hurt so many people,” said Mr. DeMaio. “People see them as completely ineffective. They look at other states, and they see that red-state governors did not do the draconian lockdowns, and they have actually been able to weather the COVID-19 epidemic much better.”
A poll released Tuesday by the University of California Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies showed that Mr. Newsom’s approval rating has plunged from 64% to 46% in the last four months. Only 31% believe the governor is doing a good job handling the pandemic, down from 49% in September.
Moreover, less than half of California polled, or 45%, said they would vote in a recall election to keep him as governor. Another 36% said they support ousting him, not exactly a vote of confidence for a Democratic governor in a rigidly Democratic state.
