YES Bank stock climbed 4.87 per cent to Rs 17.20 against the previous close of Rs 16.40 on BSE. Market cap of the bank climbed to Rs 42,343 crore in early trade today.
Central Bank of India stock gained 15.48 per cent to Rs 23.5 against the previous close of Rs 20.35 on BSE. Market cap of the bank rose to Rs 18,294 crore.
The Central Bank of India has provided a written commitment that it would comply with the norms of Minimum Regulatory Capital, Net NPA, and Leverage ratio on an ongoing basis. The bank was put under the PCA framework in June 2017 due to its low return on assets and high net non-performing assets (NPAs).
Gandhi was a Deputy Governor of the RBI for three years from 2014 to 2017. He had a three-year secondment to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the capital market regulator.
