The GR stated funds will be provided under the Zakir Hussain Madrasa Modernization Scheme, to those madarsas that introduce science and math as mandatory subjects in the curriculum.
Apart from these aspirants, there was a great opposition to this from the education sector with teachers complaining that with such contractual arrangements, the vacancies of teachers would never get filled.
The GR stated that it was following the provisions of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act 2016, which allows the state to conduct audit of universities and colleges, whenever deemed fit.
