unprecedented protests will be. i think there are three things that we have to watch for. as i said, nothing like this has happened in i would say in 60 degrees, since 1960 or so. so we ll have to see if the fact that these protests happen, that they were extended across the island in more than 30 cities and towns, the fact that it happened makes the prospect of anti-government mobilization, anti-government protests more thinkable, more imaginable for average citizens. so we ll have to wait and see if that translates, again, for ordinary cubans into participating in and heeding the calls to protest. so that s one thing we have to watch for. the second thing we have to watch for, as you mentioned, is government oppression. the government came out very quickly and began arresting dissidents definitely, independent journalists, but
